Description:
I currently own and run www.uk-hotels-register.com and have had that for a few years. I now have a pretty impressive opt in database of customers and want to use that.
The intention is to offer a PC 'Spy' program, to collect and save all PC activity to a hidden file, on the user's PC.
I envisage a Windows front end, which takes the owner's password, selects where the hidden file will be located and has the ability to flush or delete contents in the file as well as the ability to set the maximum file size.
The program will use 'hooks' from Windows in order to gather keystrokes generated.
There are already such programs in existance, but I'm not the kind of guy that would rip off softeare and I want to own copyright.
I envisage that the final bid accepted will be no more than $250
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
The software shall enable the following functions at the front end.
An installation Wizard.
Prior to the installation, the Installation Wizard shall display a statement, disclaiming all liability by the company, for any results that running the software may have, either on the performance of the customer's computer AND (as a separate statement) indemnifying the company from any actions resulting from information obtained by the use of the program. (I will have a friend, (Solicitor) draw up this statement, for you.
On agreement, and once the software has been installed, the following functions shall be available to the user.
Set/change Password
Define/change location of the hidden file.
Define maximum size of hidden file.
Flush contents of hidden file.
A file reader to display the contents of the hidden file. (A resident text viewer on the PC may be called)
Platform:
All Windows platforms and as many other platforms as are reasonable, NT etc.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Aug 20, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
This is not part of the initial specificatin. However, I can envisage a situation, where the Administrator on a Network, may decide to collect data from all PC's on his network and store such information under variable user names on the central file server.
That will be part 2 of the project and will be subject to a quotation, after the initial package is completed.
A further enhancement, which will be developed at a later date is the ability to take screen snapshots and to save these also.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Hi,
My name is Scott Burford, i have over 7 years experience creating aplications in Visual Basic.
People don't realise the amount of keylogging applications that are around, i have written 3 different Keystroke Capturing applications before.
The program will use windows API for quick, error-free hooking, and will capture any key that is pressed into the users keyboard.
The Administrator will be able to:

Define maximum size of hidden file.
Flush contents of hidden file.
I will also build a small logfile viewer for viewing the logfile of keys pressed.
The program will also be able to save to the log, which window/program the text pressed was entered into, along with a date and time.
This application is very simple and will take me 3 days to complete, i will provide you with constant updates to let you know how the coding is coming along, and i will provide full documentation ans source code.
The application will have a nice user interface for th admin, and will be completely invisible to the user.
