Description:
We are looking for an application that can retrieve a server generated value from Ticketmaster before an event goes onsale. It is a HIDDEN value named SIG that is generated when an event goes on-sale. The SIG value is good for 5 minutes then retires and a new SIG value must be retrieved. I'm looking to force Ticketmaster to Generate a SIG value 30 seconds to 1 minute before an event goes on-sale. We are only looking for that value before the on-sale begins, not after. I need a SIG value generator that will go out to Ticketmaster and generate a SIG value on their server and pass it back to us to use for the initial on-sale of tickets. We do not want to hack the site - we just went to predetermine a valid SIG value for the initial on-sale of a predetermined event. The best way to test this is to access an event that is not on-sale yet for a response from Ticketmaster on that event and see if it generates a SIG value. We have been unsuccessful to this point and are looking for some real web/application gurus to put together a simple application interface that will give us that value before an event is even on-sale.
If this is not possible in your professional opinion please let us know as not to waste anyone's time or effort.
Deliverables: Any reasonable bid will be accepted.
We would like to purchase a program that is complete and will do the above for us. We would also like a copy of the source code but do not need the complete copyrights on the code or work.
If it works the way we envision we may be able to negotiate copyright purchases after testing.
Platform:
Operating Systems: Windows 2000, XP Development Platforms: Visual Basic 6 or a DLL created in C++ that can be referenced by VB6 or any other language that you see fit for an application.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Aug 15, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
We would like to purchase an application or Plug-in that already accomplishes our objective along with source code.
Any reasonable bid accepted.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

I have tested ticketmaster, and have found that it does generate a SIG value for an event that is currently not on sale.
Please note that, this is true only if some sort of information on the event, is stored in Ticketmaster's database.
I can create a VB application that will retrieve the SIG value for an event that is about to go on-sale.
In addition to this, I can also program a timer that will constantly monitor the site at regular intervals, to check for a particular event, in case that event doesnot already exist, and then retrieve its SIG value.
The application's interface will allow you to enter the name of the event, and will provide you with a combo box that contains the available categories at Ticketmaster. It will also allow you to enter a date range between which the event will be searched.
Sincerely, C.Senthil Kumar |
