Description:
UPDATE: Component must support level 2 and level 3 SNPP features. Component may run in COM.
I need a component that will allow me to communicate via SNPP to SNPP Gateway Servers. SNPP is the protocol used for sending pager messages. There is good documentation on Skytel.com (http://www.skytel.com/partners/dev_resources_snpp.htm) on how to send these messages. The messaging process is similar to SMTP.
This component will be used in an VB6 environmnet and should be a referenced DLL, hopefully ActiveX.
The application will communicate to both 1-way and 2-way pagers. For 2-way paging, a POP reading process is needed. I will submit this as a separate request.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

I will provide you with an ActiveX DLL, that can be referenced in your VB program.
This DLL will allow you to send messages to both 1-way and 2-way pagers, numeric and alphanumeric.
If the message is sent successfully, it will return a message id (Claim Check ID), else it will return the error message received from the server.
The function will take two inputs, the pager number and the actual message to be sent. It will also allow you to provide two other optional parameters, the login id and password, in case you need to login before sending messages.
In addition to this, another function will allow you to retrieve the status of an earlier message sent, by providing the pager number and the message id.
Apart from this, a variable needs to be set before calling either of the functions - this is the SNPP Server Name.
I am very interested in doing this project. Please provide me with this oppurtunity.
The fully tested program will be delivered to you within a 'maximum' of 3 weeks from the date of acceptance, and I will answer any queries that you might have, via email.
