Description:
I have a two year old java video/chat applet which makes use of depreciated code and will not compile. This code works with a couple CGI scripts to interface with a MySQL database. I am looking for someone to update this java code to current standards as well as being able to work with new PHP scripts. New code must be able to compile with JBuilder 2.01 and/or Blue Jay 1.1.6. Total Java code is less then 60,000 bytes.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Linux, PHP, Java, MySQL

I just finished working on a project for someone making some changes to a game they had about 80% complete. It was about 4000 lines of code, and none of it was commented. It took me about a week to figure out what was going on and another week to make the changes. Your 60K of code should be around 2000 lines or so. I imagine it will take me about half the time to complete this project.
I have experience with the Java 2.0 library, as well as the older versions, and am well aware of many of the depricated items over the past 2 years. My current development environment of choice is Forte 4.0 (JDK 1.4), however I also have JBuilder 3 available, and can download any specific JDK version that you want as base to work with.
I've worked with PHP a little bit, but am by no means a pro. If a majority of this project is going to focus around the Java, with minimal knowledge of PHP and SQL, then I think I am a good choice for this project.
