Description:
I would like someone to write me an application just like Yahoo! Messenger.
Please explain the technical requirements (server side) and how you would secure communications between the Messenger and the back end.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows - client. UNIX - server

Hi ! I would do the application in Java (also the server side and and the client side). I am very skilled with this language and also have work experience. The visual interface would look just like Yahoo's. The server and the client will run (obvoiusly because is written in Java) on both Windows and Unix. The security would be implemented with SSL (with JSSE API). The server will need a small database system (like MySQL for example because it's free to use). One important requirement is that a Java virtual machine should be installed on both the server and the client, but this there is a possibility to provide executables for both (with native compilers). |
