I only know how to do a simple fixed password, something like this: If pwtext.text = 123456 Then MsgBox "Correct password" Else MsgBox "Wrong password" End If Instead, I would like a box to come up first that asks the user to choose the password they want to use to access the program each time before it begins. I see this all the time in VB programs - they even give the user the option to change their password! - but I just haven't a clue how this would be done. If anyone knows how to do this, a demo code, would really help. NOTE: I am presently using VB 4. I plan to get VB 6 in the near future. I'm hoping the code required to achieve this will work in VB 4 too.
