This involves entering some data using grids to represent the various elements of the machine. At them moment the project does what I want it to do (in this early stage) but graphically it is frightfully slow. I am using the LINE method on a picture box to draw the pattern using a nested loop to handle the various elements of the machine. I want it so that when I change one element of the machine the pattern area updates to reflect the change - it currently does this but SLOW even on my P3-600 machine with 128Mb RAM. Any help in speeding this up to make it a little more bearable would be more than appreciated. This project is probably more suited to someone who has worked with high speed 2D graphics (as a guess). The program is written in VB6. I have included an EXE of the project so for so you can get an idea of what I mean (ignore any bugs if you find them!).
