Description:
Two current products that involve building and upgrading Window's PC's need to have their documentation updated.
All documentation was written in 2000 so I need someone to:
1. Read through all text files (approx. 130K, Rich Text format)
2. Determine what needs to be changed/updated (e.g. instead of recommending a ATA/66 drive, a ATA/100 would now be a good recommendation.)
3. Make changes so the text is CURRENT and CORRECT.
4. Add additional info regarding new PC components and configurations. (e.g. Mention and explain the new types of RAM on the market, the speed benefits, the type of motherboard you need to support them, etc.)
The text is written in a casual style, designed for newbies so it it should not be overly techincal. It also does not need to be full of specifications or data.
This is not a big job. A competent writer with a good knowledge of PC's and current components, etc. can bang this out in a solid day of work, easy. Maybe even faster. Please bid accordingly. Please, only bid if you have an EXCELLENT command of the English language.
See attached file for an example of what you can expect.
Deliverables: Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

Hello Mark,
I&'m an English teacher and coder interested in working on your project. I&'ve completed a number of documentation type projects through RAC as well as having written numerous technical articles, user guides, etc.
I most recently completed two articles that were posted on RAC, which you can view at:
http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/SoftwareBuyers/Articles/default.asp
http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/SoftwareCoders/Articles/default.asp
Although I live in Greece, I&'m a native English speaker (born and raised in New York). I have an excellent command of English and don&'t foresee any difficulties completing your documentation revisions.
My bid includes providing Internet research to make sure that the documentation is as technically up to date as possible.
If you will send me the entire documentation file prior to accepting my bid, I will review it and may reduce the bid amount.
Meanwhile, if you have a few moments, please review my online resume and client comments regarding my performance on their projects.
Good luck to you on your project!
Best Regards,
Michael Sharp
