Description:
A Java based client that allows users to connect to a listening server and port.
There is a very good client that I would like to emulate located at: http://www.joot.com/software/archives/ [ the TERMINAL EMULATOR ]
I want to be able to load a flat file database, which holds a Games Name, the Host for that game, and the Port. The flat text file can be dilemented in whatever manner is needed.
The host/port should be able to be passed to the client in some manner. When a CONNECT NOW url link is clicked, the host and port should be able to be passed to the java client. [ I am a php developer, if I need to write up a specific page which passes the values, just let me know what I need to do ]
I don't want this client to act as a proxy. People would quickly abuse this. Instead, when a browser connects to remotelocation.com port 4000 ..it will show their own HOST/IP as the originator..and not the host that is running the client.
This is client will be used to connect to online text games.
This client should be loaded/run from the internet. Any java capable browser should be able to run it. I do not want this to be an embedded applet. Instead, the client should function similiarly to the TERMINAL EMULATOR located at the url posted above.
There needs to be a text entry field in order to send data to the client. This text entry field should be located at the bottom of the client. A user hits ENTER key to send data.
This client will be used as a basic MUD client. It is used to connect to online text games which operate on specific ports. It should also be fully ANSI color compliant.
OpenSource code to create this project is fine.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
This should be designed to operate on a Linux server running the Apache webserver. It needs to be compatible with any web browser capable of running java.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
