A re-direct based on the results of a ping is easy to implement. I have developed in perl as a part of my Bachelor of Computer Science Project, on a professional basis editing existing perl scripts, as a part of a larger tracking project, and in the CGI section of the <span style='color:blue'>Database & Internet Programming</span> course that I taught.
What version of perl are you running? On what platform? I just need to know so I can use the correct headers and, if a UNIX/LINUX server, include the path to your perl directory. For the sake of ease of use, I can grab the addresses to which to re-direct from text files. This will give you a no-programming method of customizing and updating.
This project will only take an hour or two (the longest part will be re-installing perl on my machine). |
