Description:
A custom IE toolbar, written in VB, compiled to a CAB file for web-based install.
The toolbar itself will have several image buttons. The first, when clicked, will examine the current url, change it, and load the new url. The second button, when clicked, stays down until clicked again, loading the current URL every 5 seconds.
First button replaces the word "hello" in the URL with the word "hi". So, if the user is at http://yahoo.com/hello.html clicking the button would load the page http://yahoo.com/hi.html
If the user is at http://stocks.com/mystock.html, clicking the second button would re-load the page every 5 seconds, until the button was clicked again.
For an example of the type of toolbar I want, see the google search toolbar. (Mine would be a much simpler version.) The toolbar should be at least IE 5.X compatible. (4.x and 6.x would be nice, but not necessary)
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Enough comments in the code that a coder that knew VB script could extend the code, including adding additional buttons.
A project file compatible with Visual Studio, so I can recompile after making changes.
BID ADDITION (2002.04.09): If you place a bid, please include in your bid what IDE format or other tool your source code will be delivered in.
Platform:
The cab fille bust be able to be installed and run in IE 5.x. 4.X and 6.X would be nice, but not required.
The project file and all associated files required for a recompile after changing code must be included.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
May 15, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
