Description:
Please find hereunder a brief description of the code I am looking for:
# In a windows2000 PC LAN environment, we have at least two client PC's (or more), and one server (which can be a stand alone server or used as server and client at the same time.
# One of the clients wishes to make a connection with an other client on the same LAN (voice connection or text chatting connection whichever)using its IP address, so it connects to the server for authentication of identity first (because IP adresses are dyanamic and dont reflect the real identiy), once verified by the server the calling client establishes a connection with the callee client (using sockets, TAPI or Netmeeting whichever is easier to implement)
# It The other client picks the call and communication takes place. While that is happening, the number of bytes transferred is counted. Also the calling client starts a timer for the duration of the voice call.
# Once the call is terminated, the calling client sends the number of bytes and the session duration to the server.
# The server takes that information and used to bill the calling client based on the tariff it has stored in its client data base.
# The server sends the cost of the call to the calling client as a pop-up window, and also modifes the records database for the calling client.
More details of the requirements can be supplied later, if the brief description above appeals to the programmer to be involved.

I understand your task. It is clear for me because I&'ve got a lot of experience in creating of client/server and peer-to-peer applications using win sockets both in Internet and Intranet (LAN). Besides I have experience in work with various audio codecs (it will be helpful for sound compression).
I am online from 1am till 11am GMT. So if you have some questions to me we can discuss them in real time.
