Description:
An activex OCX or DLL that converts WMV to MPEG-1, AVI, and possibly MPEG-2. MPEG-2 is not a requirement, but it would be a plus. Please specify if this will be included when bidding. For AVI, it should be able to convert with various codecs (DivX and such), and MPEG should have a compression setting. The conversion needs to be as fast as possible. Properties for input file and output file are, of course, needed, as well as a property to convert to AVI or MPEG (MPEG-2 if it's available).
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in OCX or DLL form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Win95/98/NT/2000/Me/XP

Hello Chris,
I can do this for you using DirectX, with the component in C++ without MFC. DirectShow is specially created for such uses, with an entire API existent for such conversions.
Converting to Avi using all compression codecs is standard on windows, and converting to mpeg2 or mpeg1 will need a third party mpeg compressor codec. This can alway be left up to the user to acquire.
As you can see from my previous projects, I have experience working with DirectX, and in the past have worked for a Bertlesmann company on a very similar conversion project.
You can be assured of good work and quick project completion if you select my bid.
Thank you,
Mark Essien.
