Description:
I need a VB Function to accomplish the following in an Access 97 database.
Function BuildInvnetory()
What I need to accomplish.
Compare the Inventory records Field [Item ID] in the "Item List" Table to the records Field [Item ID]in the "OnHand" Table that's [Customer Id] Field are = to the variable 'MyCust' MyCust = [Forms]![Customers].[ID] 'Identifies the customer ID The Field [CustomerId] in the "Item List" Table is blank. The Field [Customer Id] in the "OnHand" Table stores a Customer whish is declared as a Variable 'MyCust'
How I would like this handled.
I would like this function to use RecordSets opposed to temp tables, If you must use Temp Table please create them and Delete the Temp Table and the End of the Function. Also please use SQL in the module opposed to storing them in the Access Graphical interface.
System Resources Please do your best to conserve system resources and free up memory when no longer needed.
Step 1) I need to identify the records that do not exist in the "OnHand" Table. Step 2) Update the Field [CustomerId] in the "Item List" Table to 'MyCust'. Step 3) Append this RecordSet into the "OnHand Table.
I will be calling this function from the OnClick properties of a ComboBox. I already have created the Function RemoveInventory() and will call this before I call this new Function.

Hello sir...
I've worked with VBA and Visual Basic for the last 4 years, so I can get to accomplish your requirements. You can view my profile at RentACoder, and my past projects buyers comments. I'll do my best to fullfill your needs.
Delivery time: 1 day after the bid is accepted (it gets less than a day maybe to code your requirements, but I will need you to check if everything is ok to give final acceptance).
Thanks and best regards. |
