Hi there. I am a programmer with 9 years of experience. I have a
B.Sc. in Software Development & Systems Analysis. For 2 years I worked with a company
who produce interactive multimedia solutions on a Windows platform. This involved me
writing drivers, custom software, and stand-alone applications.
For the next 7 years I worked for a
worldwide telecommunications company designing and developing embedded software for custom-built hardware.
This was on Intel x86 and ARM processors
using the industry-leading real-time O/S VxWorks and Tornado from
WindRiver.
Development included applications, custom drivers, DSP, voice services, networking, databases,
and working with an embedded web server
to provide user-friendly administration and configuration of hardware.
I am now a full time freelance programmer. I have huge experience and have been mostly into Java in recent
times. It really is the future and it's a real pleasure to be back developing in a more
visual environment rather than the hard-core of embedded real-time. Java is also well suited to my skills of
developing in a multi-threaded environment.
I develop using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0,
Borland JBuilder, and Forte For Java.
The platforms I develop on are Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux.
In my spare time I hope to develop some online multi-player games to further hone my skills.
I am highly experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and hard working. If you want someone who will work
