Project 1.
SMS Based World Cup Predict

Description: This is a SMS Based Game backed up by Hindustan Liver Limited, which ran on the circles of Airtel and BPL Mobile across the country in around 13 states. The Game was about predicting the winner of the soccer match in the World Cup Soccer. This game was the first of its kind in India, in which the entire country was able to play the same game and compete with each other on the national basis. The game starts when the user send a predefined keyword to the system, which was given to our application by the SMS-to-web gateway of the service providers like Airtel and BPL Mobile, this msg was processed by processed and a response was send back to the gateway, which was eventually send to the Originating mobile user. like wise the match details were send to the user stating what msh the user has to send to predict for a particular team, and how many points will he get if the team wins. I did the entire coding as well as the database design for the application. which included optimization of the application so as to handle a steep increase in the traffic in crucial stages of the game.
Project 2.
News Intranet Portal

My Role: The entire conceptualization of the site, including the database design, as well as righting the script for a full text-search for the news item. This portal contains all the telecom news that is automatically gathered from certain sources in form of HTML files, which is then processed, and the news are inserted into the database, category wise. The site runs in two places, on the net as well as on the LAN of Reliance, Mumbai. The news is gathered on the net version of the site, and then later on sent to the LAN, every ten minutes, through a sync process designed by myself. The Intranet version is self-updating code, i.e. any modifications done one the scripts written for the portal (web version), automatically gets updated on the LAN version too.

Bulk Mail Application (with HTML Formatting engine, Subscriber Maintainence and Traffic Reporting)

Description: This Bulk mail application is presently been used by Hughes Softwares, KSOnTheWeb (Raymonds Group) to deliver there EMail Newsletters to there subscribers across the world, This application include a HTML formatting engine written in Javascript, and a number of other high end features that include Traffic Reporting, i.e. it represents the user clicks in a graffical format, the traffic report can be drilled down to the activities of even a single user, i.e. you can view what all pages the user clicked while views a multi-page newsletter, thus enabling the company to see what exectly was the user intrested in hence getting the target for there sales campaign. This application has another number of usefull features like importing address book files of OUTLOOK express and EUDORA. I did the entire coding as well as the database design for the application. which included dynamically generating the Bar Graph using the GD Library in PHP.

My Role: Regency Creations limited, this company exports various fancy items, having a range of over 18000 products. So this site that has two parts, one part is the normal user part, which will just navigate through the product listing and place detail inquiries for the products of his use. The other part of the site is for the internal use, where the staff members of the company, come and add/edit products, and answer the inquiries of the users, then there are multi-level administration job that is meant to create users and assign them certain products that they will be able to see when they browse through the site. Then there is a provision of creating offers for users for products that they have shown interest in from time to time, and letting them know of new products launch etc. My role was here again of the database design, and creating scripts for the administration part of the site. With the entire above-mentioned feature. The site also has a two-way sync feature, where by the modifications in the database one either end will be reflected on the other end.

Patient, competent and always an open ear.
I can highly recommend Dheeraj for any project - he will make it worth you while.
I am pretty certain that this was not the only project that I out in his competent hands, as to us he was like a member of the staff, that just happened to live at the other end of the world.
