Prior to moving in Canada I was cofounder of Masters Group (founded 1991), a software development company in Macedonia which primary focus was developing Accounting applications as well as Point of Sale applications for small businesses. Masters Group just in few years has grown to major computing company, which not only develops software but it was major supplier of computer hardware to most small computer businesses. In 1998 our company faced crises which by real leaving circumstances were leading to bankruptcy.

When I first joined Ministry of Health I was supposed to do a data entry job. On the first interview with my manager he discovered that more serious job can be assigned to me since I have proven excellent knowledge in MS Access at the time of interview. I was given to fix some errors in the applications that were already developed in MS Access, but soon as I was doing that I was improving those applications too. In few months I took lead for developing "strategic" applications like Planning and Decision making Support Tool (PDST) and Daily Bed Census. I have created initiative for establishing private web site on Ministries Intranet and Internet for reason of publishing application that I have developed as private web sites. This was most beneficial for both Finance and Information Management branch as provider of this application and MOH employees on one side, and on the other for MOH and Health Institutions outside our network (internet applications). Also as highly experienced Visual Basic programmer it was inevitable that I would also be responsible for developing VBA applications in Excel and Word. I have developed numerous automation macros in Excel, but most valuable are Operating Plans for Ontario Hospitals, as well as combination of Oracle / Access / Excel tools for automating Ontario Cost Distribution Methodology Application.

I do not have computers related certification or diploma, but my work experience in Masters Group, and position that I held were more than diploma to me. During this period a group of software developers including my self were challenged to develop sophisticated Business applications. Those applications are still in use by many accountants in Macedonia. They have been proven to be carefully developed and with customer satisfaction in mind. Those applications are designed to be fully updateable by the user with almost no support or maintenance from developers.
