(About the author)

Ever got a call from a customer saying his site was DOWN ? I typically host my customer's sites with other service providers, and I would like to know before they do. Hence KlikMon. It uses a slightly changed version of clsHTMLParser from Lewis Moten to collect selected web site content through MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP in an MS Access DB. It has the ability to send you an email if a site is inaccessible and collects title, description and keyword info as well as size of the homepage. Just unzip and place the log and DB file in a write access dir on your server. This could, of course, be further optimized with good looking admin pages to add, edit, delete sites, use css, etc.. but it should give you a good idea of how to monitor your sites.
