Someone please let me in on the Open
Source meaning. I always thought that
it meant Free but maybe I have been
wrong. I was impressed with this
software and was setting it up to test
it on an intranet when I found you have
to spend a $100 in order to test all
the software functions. Does this mean
I can start plugging custom database's
on this site?

Intranet Open Source is 100%
functional. Downloaders are required
to spend no additional money to have a
fully functional intranet. The admin
paks available on the Digger Solutions
site are simply GUI interfaces to ease
administrative tasks.

I'll expand on Dan's comments. I
downloaded and spent 2 days evaluating
the free 'core engine' of the
application. It IS a fully functional
extranet application, but
DiggerSolutions pricing model means
that you simply purchase the add-in
'paks' that you really need. Otherwise
you can hack the relevant data straigh
into the database (but wher's the fun
in that ?)
BTW I immediately
recommended this intranet solution to
the board of my company and have been
met with nothing but praise for it's
effectiveness. And 'No !' I'm not
sleeping with Dan before anyone asks
?!!? LoL

Excellent job!
But on my machine the
menu had trouble locating menus items
when entering a sub folder! for example
clicking on clients and working there
then clicking on the menu to go to
another item the sitepath get
invalid!

Jim, that error message is an
indication that IUSR_Machinename does
not have permissions to fully access
the database in the data folder. Give
Everyone Full Control access to that
folder or at least give
IUSR_Machinename read, write, change
permissions on that folder.

application but i had an error while
connecting with user name =test and
password=pass. the error code is:
Microsoft Jet Database Engine
(0x80040E07) Data type mismatch in
criteria expression.
/Intranet1/includes/connection_asp,
line 42. It seems to be an error
regarding Date/time type because if i
log in with right user name and wrong
password he replays "Right user name
but wrong password try again" (or
something like that). I'm in Italy an i
use italian regional settings
(dd/mm/yy) for date. I'll appreciate
any help. Best Regards, Francesco.
