This is one of the best submissions on
PSC. The only problem I have is that
the config menu should not pop up on
LEFT button and scroll. Doing so make
it impossible to select text and scrol
the mouse. Easy enough fix though, I
just changed it to RIGHT mouse button
and scroll.

This is great, I am really impressed
with all of your submissions. I did
have VB crash on me when I tried to
exit from the plug-in settings, but
that could just be my computer.

Looks good, except it interferes with
VB's auto complete.

Is there a way to enable pressing space

From doing some research i found out
that different versions of mouse
drivers affect the IDE mousewheel
scroll. From what Ive seen MouseWare
(if you have LogiTech) versions above
9.73 do not suuport it on certain apps.
If i stay with 9.73 then i can scroll
in the IDE and other apps as
well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I got
my mouse scroll back again. (The two
other code examples on PSC didn't do it
for some reason.) Five
globes!
Question, however: I got a
message that it needed the path to my
Win32Api.mdb file, but I don't seem to
have such a file. I'm running VB 6.0
professional. Where do I get the file
and how come I don't already have
it?
It's not a big deal, since I'm
just happy to get my mouse scroll back
and may not use the Autocomplete much
(but then again, maybe I
will).
Thanks again for posting the
code!

Anyway, my name is Barry Traver, and I

There is a note in ReadMe.txt
where you should find the Api .MDB

Sweet, works a treat for my VB6-sp5 on
XP-Pro-sp1. No errors encountered. I
have often thought how nice it would be
if the wheel worked in VB6, now I know,
and a big thanks. :-)

Hi Ulli. If you open the config form
from a form (not from code) and hit OK,
you got a GPF (vb crash). Another
thing: you write on Readme.txt:
"'Paused'-Bug Circumvention: Don't
forget to localize". What did you mean?
Uh, how the autocomplete work? Im
little confused :)

Oops *smile*
GPF will be fixed in next
update, Sebastiano. The cryptic
sentence refers to the first few lines
in mSublass - if you have a German or
English VB no alteration is necessary,
else you will have to use your caption
fragment (when in design mode) and
enter that where it says so.
And
autocomplete is what it says -
automatic - once it recognizes a word
fragment it will come up with a
suggested completion. If that's not the
one you want, then just keep on typing.

Hi Ulli,
What key should I press to
confirm the autocomplete item?
I mean
normally space, dot, tab or any
non-character does complete the entry.
With this code, it does not.

Martijn:
any dead key (up down left
right etc) will do. just get out of the
selected word portion.

I just had a very wierd experience.
When I loaded the new version of your
mousewheel support add-in it scrolled
backwards. Where normally rolling the
wheel down would move the page 'up' to
expose text hidden at the bottom of the
page it was doing the exact opposite.
I fiddled around a bit and toggled
'Smooth Scrolling' off then on and the
problem corrected itself. I haven't a
clue as to why but I thought I'd let
you know about this 'quirk'. Thanks
again for the awesome add-in. I have a
hell of a time adapting to computers
where your add-in isn't installed.

I was wrong about what fixed the issue.
When I started up VB and tested the
"Enter Number of Lines" was blank.
Putting in a value fixed it right up.

Well, the more I use it the better it
seems. It's smooth, it's fast, it's
efficient, and it's loaded with
features. At first the raster lines
were kind of annoying but once I got
used to them it's all good. Thanks,
again Ulli

I have been using you're
previous version (1.2.0.4) which worked
very well. This version seems to be
much slower for me when, for example, I
load up a usercontrol. For the time
being I've reverted back to the other
version.
Any suggestions

Maybe it's drawing the raster
too slow on your PC, try switching that
off. Or try to give it more lines or
half a page in the options popup. One
wheel step will never scroll more than
one page height, so a bigger page with
more lines will also speed up scrolling.

On WinXP French, VB6 English opening a
big project make the IDE to almost
freeze (take 3-4 min before getting
control on the IDE). After that can't
touch anything or freeze again....

about 70,000 lines of code. Rolled back
to older version.
