     Get you a easy way for creating and using timers on your window application. This code use two timers and you can see how to start and stop the timer.

This code is only useful for those 
who
are dependant on coding with and 
for the
MFC, it does not help those of 
us who
code for *nix etc platforms. 
So here is just a little
code to 
help those who are trying to
do Timers 
on a *nix platform:

<time.h>
#include <stdio.h>
int 
main()
{
  /*  
   * 10 = time + 10 
seconds
   */
  int wTime = 
time(NULL) + 10;
  while (time(NULL) 
<= wTime) {
    /* do nothing */
}
  printf("Timer hit 10 
seconds");
}
  This example uses a 
while() loop 
to make your program 
wait for 10 
seconds before it 
continues on to the 
next statement.
 Why use this ? It will
not halt your 
program for the time
but rather just 
that one part (Best if
made in a 
function) where if you
were to use 
something like sleep() your
program 
would pause for that 
duration which 
could cause problems 
with other 
functions that may be 
trying to
