(About the author)

This sample is a great starting point for a custom control. What this source code shows is how to use various shape controls and pictureboxes to create a custom frame container that has the ability to use rounded corners. This code is well commented. Most of this code can be easily migrated to an ActiveX control. See the screenshot for an example of its appearance. Feel free to leave me feedback, and I will try to respond. Don't forget to vote if you like it!

Sorry Gabe, but I don't agree. This may
look good but it's just showing/hiding
a bunch of picture boxes. 2/10

Scott, you missed the point. What it
does is what is important, not how it
does it. Sure, it could be done other
ways, but the time spent would not be
worth it. How would you have thought
of it if it was just an ocx and did not
know how it worked? The whole point of
developing objects (I have made an ocx
out of this), is to reuse objects and
use other objects together to provide a
functionality that none of them have on
their own.
To you it might be "just
showing/hiding a buch of picture
boxes.", but it is also something
different and unique. How many end
users are going to see the source code
if you use it in a project? And better
yet... Why would they care?

I love it!! I'd like to make this into
an ocx for use in future apps, but I
have no knowledge of how to make this
work. I'll fool around with it, but if
anyone out there can do so, could you
either post on here or e-mail it to me?
 I'd appreciate it.
The code rocks,
man! Keep up the good work!

You can make a look similar to the new
Microsoft Whistler OS. They use rounded
frames!
