Description:
Your assignment is to complete discovery exercise number 9 on thh attached folder. You will also be making some enhancements to the program. You may wish to start by downloading the file lc9.txt from the website (http://www.sc.maricopa.edu/elam/CIS159.html)and running the completed program from the attached folder (BobCat Compiled).
The interface is partially completed for you. You will need to use the files lc9.frm, lc9.vbp and lc9.txt. You should download these files from the atatched folder
Enhancements
You will add a File menu to the form which will have two options: Open and Exit. Add the common dialog control to the form. Under the Open menu set the dialog&'s properties and display it so the user can use it to select the file lc9.txt
The two List boxes should be initially disabled. Once a file has been selected enable the list boxes.
Read the instructions in the book carefully. You will need to write the code for the lstChoices click event. Under this list box you will open the file that the user selected from the file/open menu. You will tehn select the appropriate records and add them to lstNames.
Step d in the exercice suggests that you can use the instr function. Another perfectly valid way to write the code is to use the left, right, and/or mid functions. Using any of these functions is valid.
Note: Near the beginning of your code you should clear the lstnames list box to remove any left over data from a previous list. Use the lstnames.clear method to accomplish this.
Submit:
1. The program via email.
2. A code printout.
3. Pseudocode for the lstchoices click event only.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
