Description:
Folder watch program:
I need a folder-monitoring program that will watch a folder for changes and additions for particular file types (text base). Once a file is changed or added it needs to analyze the file and look for certain words.
If those words are found then take some actions. Actions should be configurable per word, with a default action. Lets say if the word abc is in the file, then rename the file as filename (original filename).bad
If word xyz is in the file then replace the word with another word.
If word combination of "grow taller", then remove or quarantine the file. Files should be quarantined in the same directory under folder "quarantined".
Have a way of making sure words are in combinations and not single words. This can be either by using quotes "" or + sign in between words. The difference should be that if the words are in "" then look for exactly as it is written. If the words have + sign between them then occurrence of all of them in the same file will qualify the file for predefined action.
Special case is that there should be also certain pre-configured way of adding LF (linefeed) and CR (Carriage Return) to the watch list, since they cannot be typed.
A test program that can test the speed of the program, to make sure it can handle many files at the same time.
I have some code that uses the windows API to achieve the folder watch function if it may help. I do not know how well it performs, but seemed to be pretty good.
I have also included a snapshot of a form in VB, which may give you a better idea. Any new idea and/or modifications to it, is welcome.
Please no third party components, or copyrighted material without written consent of its owner. Standard Microsoft components installed by Windows or VB are exception. A full description is on the file attached. Not enough space here.

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

I have my own algorith that controls the files and folders. But in order to make my bidding clear what will be the file types to search for words? Word files? excel files? or any file that willl be opened as text files?

Ok I will prepare the code this weekend and will look for file changes,(added files, deleted files) and open them as text files regardless of their format and searching any kinds of strings.
Will that be all?
