Description:
I am using website generation software Fast eCart by Code 9 Software. I amgetting a runtime error that says "invalid picture"
The software doesn't tell me anymore than this with the error. I have over 5,000 photos in the picture folder.
Is there a way to test these pictures without having to do it one by one?
What would cause an "invalid picture" runtime error?

I'll tell you whatever info I can... I've seen this problem before with some images I've downloaded from the net, and then tried to open with Imaging Preview... I've gotten an 'invalid format' error. This is more than likely a result of the program you are using not recognizing all of the subtleties of the JPG spec. What you might want to try is using a program like Paint Shop Pro (www.jasc.com - free 30 day trial version) to do a 'Batch conversion' of all the files, which will cause it to essentially load all the pictures, then resave them all (recompressing in the process, and resaving, which should cause them to be written in a format that the other program won't choke on!)
Let me know if this makes sense, or if I can be of some help to you.
Thanks, and good luck!
-Tim
