Description:
I run www.erfilter.com and the javascript news feed on that web site, please see this URL for more details on that.
http://www.easybyte.com/products/addjs.html
Anyway the javascript news feed is updated 24/7/265 non stop and I think rather than just have it as a news feed that can be included on web pages it would also be noce for it to power a news ticker so that is this bid request.
I would like a news scroller/ticker type program for window OS's to be written that gets the news from the javascript news feed.
I would like to have a ticker that is very low on memory and has a good set of configuration settings so users can specifiy things like how often to download new news, what colours to use, speed to news scroll , what feed to use (international, sport, uk etc...) I would like the ticker to appear on the screen like the windows taskbar (unless anyone has a better idea?) and be of similar size, such that it can snap into position on each side of the screen or be moved to a free position in the middle of the screen somewhere. I would also like the user to specify whether or not it should be on top of all windows or below.
Also is the bar is snapped onto the top of the screen or the bottom I would like the rest of teh windows to maximise so as to not go over the bar, like the windows taskbar.
Before the user can user the news bar I would like them to have to sign up to use it, so they will have a user name (email address) and password which can be saved by the news ticker. The sign up will be via the web site (PHP, I will be doing this myself) so the ticker must just pass the username+password to a php page as an HTTP GET request and then a yes or a no will be returned deciding on whether or not that person is allowed to download the news for scrolling.
I would like this written in VC++ v6 (NOT dotNET)
This product must use no external dll's or OCX's without permission from me.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
All windows OS's
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Apr 10, 2003 EDT

Hello,
I would like to bid for your project. I have recently implemented a scrolling ticker application for a client in Germany. The app would get the content from the FTP or HTTP server, and the content would have color atributes for individual items and links that user could jump to by clicking that item. It was a multi-line ticker, with the selection of the topics and speed control for each line individually. It is a VC++ 6.0 app, without additional dll's / ocx's. I am sure I can develop it as you requested. Please review the demo app I have included in the zip file, together with the supporting content files (usually downloaded from your location).
Please be assured of the highest quality of my work - I am an MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), and I am certified by ExpertRating on this web site as well.
Hope to win this bidding for you project.
Look forward to working with you.
Best regards,
Vladimir Feinstein. |
