Description:
I have been asked to deliver a CD that will boot into a DOS environment with TCP/IP network support.
The following website will get you started http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/ but you may use any method you find most effective. The intent of this CD is to automate the rollout of Windows XP. All of the pieces are readily available I need them pulled together into a simple ISO image I can manage. The following is the scenario I envision. 1. You deliver to us an ISO image. It has the drivers already on it for the D-Link 530TX+ network card and several other common cards. 2. We use EZ CD Creator Basic to burn the ISO to a CD. 3. We boot the CD on a test workstation. It auto detects the 530TX+ card or another card defined on the CD (If auto network card detection is not possible a menu to prompt the user to select the proper card would be acceptable, uses dhcp to get an IP. The User name is “BootUser” the password is “password”, the domain is TestDomain. It attempts to map F: to \\DC1\XPInstall. It changes to the F: drive and runs dir. 4. You supply documentation so I know what files to edit to change the logon information and change the commands it runs on startup. I use WinISO to make these changes and create a new CD. Also please document the command line tools to login manually. 5. You also supply documentation to us so we can add the DOS drivers for other network cards and make them auto detectable ideally or menu selectable at minimum. 6. If you use a boot floppy image for the boot part of the CD I would like to have the network drivers on the larger CD portion so I do not run out of room as I add drivers. 7. Support for PCMCIA or cardbus is highly desirable but you may quote this separately if it adds too much complication.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working CD in ISO form.
2) Documentation as per above spec.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows/98/2000/XP and DOS
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
