Description:
What I need is a sample project where if a table is in the standard format, it can extract the columns and rows. The parameters would be the url which is the location, the column header that identifies the table, whether to ignore empty rows, and whether to ignore empty columns. This would assume that they used the | tags properly.
Deliverables: The source code to show the data extracted from a web page that has tables.
Platform:
Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP

Here is an example of the described functionality.
The data is pulled into a 2 dimensional array which (in this example) is then used to populate a grid.
The code is in the form of a function 'fnGetTableData()' which should make it easy to incorporate into applications.
A paramter is passed which is used to identify where the table starts, by specifying a column header (or data) that uniquely pin points the table from which to extract data.
Fore example, in the 2 html files included, use 'Inventory#' for the 1st (ChannelAdvisor) and 'Artist' for the 2nd (Stations_asp.)
My bid is for the code to this exampe which is complete and fully commented.
Regards,
- Aaron.
