User Requirements (Printing, Sending E-Mails and Fixing Problems) for a charting application written in Java.
1. Printing a chart When the user wishes to print a chart by clicking on the ‘Print&' button or menu item, then a print dialog should appear where the user can print to an available printer. This function should only be available when there is a chart loaded.
2. Using print preview Clicking on the ‘Print Preview&' menu item or toolbar button should display a preview of the chart in a new window/frame. This window/frame should allow the user to either print the chart via a button/menu item or to close the window, thus returning to the main application.
3. Sending out E-Mails By clicking on the ‘Send E-Mail&' menu item, the user should be able to send out e-mail via a dialog box that allows the e-mail content to be entered into a text area. The user should be able to enter a number of e-mail addresses into a number of text boxes, and then click on the send button to send out the e-mail to the addresses which have been entered.
4. Fix Problem 1 (Problem with the JScrollPane) I cannot get the JScrollPane to display on the main chart area. This means that when the chart grows in size, bits are cut off the edges and the rest of the chart cannot be seen. (Check out the DrawPanel java source file as this where the JScrollPane is created).
5. Fix Problem 2 (Problem with the Full-Screen menu item functionality) When the ‘Full Screen&' menu item is clicked, the application frame is maximised to its full size, but the components inside (i.e. the JPanels) remain the same size as before the menu item was clicked. (Check out the piece of code that is the ActionListener for the Full-Screen menu item. It is in the MainMenu java source file).
6. Fix Problem 3 (Problem displaying a html web page in an EditorPane) Clicking on the ‘Contents&' menu item in the help menu should display a help page (in html), but I am having problems getting this to work. The ActionListener code for the menu item is in the MainMenu java source file, and there is a separate ‘EditorPane&' java file that creates the frame. Try getting this to work with any simple html page. Note: I want the html page to display as soon as the user clicks on the ‘Contents&' menu item, not after the user enters the path in the URL textbox that is displayed. The URL textbox shouldn&'t even be there.
