Description:
I am in need of a designer to design a professional looking home page for my dating site. I would like suggestions on how to make it look more professional. It would be acceptable if the designer would like to provide their own pictures/images for background.

The site can now be seen at http://64.62.144.65/index.asp;

it won't be viewable under http://www.mateseekers.com until Mon 3/3/03.

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

I would like the coding to be done in html/ASP/javascript;

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. I would like to state though that my bid is for the HTML only as I do not program in ASP. That is why I made my bid so low, as it only includes the HTML design portion. If you are interested what Im offering what I would recommend is that you take the HTML files and then place another bid request for someone to do the ASP coding. You could probably get off cheaper doing this also as 1 coder wouldnt be doing all the work. In addition please take a moment to view some of my past work:

I dont see any problem in making the changes you requested at all. The picture is a royalty free photo from a website that people upload these photos then users can purchase so its free to use and the people in the picture dont mind. Photoshop just crashed so as soon as I get it up I can make a list of the RGB colors for you. Ill see how much I can lower the height of the picture without much distortion as soon as I get photoshop up as well. What height is your frame that your shooting for? Currently its 4 am here so im gonna call it a night. ill be out from 12-6 pm but other than that ill be around. Ill get photoshop back up first thing in the morning to make the requested changes..

I wasnt sure on what content you would want so I just filled it in with what was on your current site. If you are to accept my bid today please send me a list of all the changes you want and ill do them tonight and reupload the site and when its good enough for you ill send it as completed work through Rent-A-Coder. The only changes from earlier I have not gotten done is the RGB colors and making the image at the top smaller. However I did resize your logo and put it into the adjacent cell so you can see what it will look like. Just let me know what your needs/demands are. Ill be leaving at around 11:30 central time and will return at about 6:30 central time. Ill be in the office all day monday so I could complete your project then and have it to you by the end of the day on monday. Dependent on what needs to be done I can finish it tonight as im not working on any other projects.

Thanks for your reply. I just got in so this is my first chance to address your questions. I downloaded your file but its in .mix format? I dont have anything that will open that format. What program did you create it in and ill get the program so I can edit the file.

I am 99% positive I can reduce the size of that top image by 25%. Its current height is 1.792 inches so I could lower it to 1.344 inches.

Upon delivery I will include all files which I used on the page. The actual images used are .GIF but they are all created using Adobe Photoshop so I will include the PSD files for editing or I can convert that to PNG if required.

I believe that answered all your questions. I can also create the content for the other pages but if you are going to have to put in ASP coding it might be just as easy for you to use the main page as the template and fill in the blanks? Either way is fine with me as Ill do the content or let you. I can for sure make a contact page for you and then let you add the ASP coding to it?? I know little about ASP so im not sure what all is required. Im going to be leaving shortly to have dinner but ill be back in a hour or so. Ill make any changes you need and ill work with you even after the bid request to correct any problems.

I bid low to gain work and it also helps me obtain clients. After completion of the RAC jobs ive done work for 100% of the people ive worked with on RAC so I would hope to possibly build the same working relationship with you if work is needed. All I ask is that I be allowed to use the site in my portfolio of my completed work. If your feeling really generous perhaps a link to my web design business site? Neither of which is required though.
