I created a similar application at my day job. Our sales force frequently will write up a quote for a customer in excel. I added a page to our intranet (asp) that allows them to upload the excel sheet, then displays the first 10 or so rows of data. They can then select which columns they want to import, and the matching column in the database. It then copies the data to the database.
If this sounds similar to what you have in mind, I believe I can take my existing code, and modify it to do what you need.
I have several years of asp experience, and can assure you I will have this done quickly and accurately.
I look forward to hearing from you.
