Description:
Simple basic Shopping cart ... via IIS with dBase running on a file server.
Inter-house supply service ... has a very primative supply listing that users must find and copy items that they want/need ... could be better.
Looking for a page that will access a dBase of items that are available (this dBase should be in Acess 2K if possible ... but flexible) the dBase should have the ability to store the following: Stock number (not visable to the user), Common name (visable) Qty (ea, Bx etc ... visable). Ability to display in RED if item is out of stock would be a nice touch but not a stopper.
Form, optimal would be Passworded for each user to login but not a big issue, form should be able to pull dBase list of items and have a simple "search feature", off to the side, that will help the user find what they are looking for if they do not know the correct name of it. Typical cart of items (quantity) and the "keep shopping" or check out ... not accounting, charge data is necessary. Create a tracking number that will be returned to user upon completion.
User list, seperate dBase or .ini (coders choice)which will prompt the user to login and password.
dBase of pending orders (see tracking number above) will the ability to color code (Red pending, Green completed, orange back order(?)) Supply clerk can check (completed) When the clerk clicks completed the info (tracking number) would be transfered to MS Outlook .. there clerk can notify user directly that their order is ready for pickup Again nice feature ... but can/have lived without.
Make sense?
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
NT4 File server for dBase ... IIS 4 for running shopping cart ... running over MS domain structure ... Outlook 97/2K mix (should be all 2K within a few months)
Some inane label like
"AE Tallinn Supply" ...
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
