Description:
Please carefully read all the instructions before posting your bid.
The purpose of this project is to improve the appearance, navigation, and design of an existing Website built with ASP.
I need someone with good web design skills to enhance a web site that I have already created.
The project consists in changing 9 simple ASP pages. (Homepage, About Us, Subscription, Search, Site Map, Feedback, Guestbook).
You can see the pages at their current state at: http://www.cartabrasil.com.
The design of the website has to be clean, simple and pleasant for readers.
Create a logo and artistic theme for the web site.
Create a site map page.
Add a "refer this site to a friend" in every page".
Create "If you like this page" link at the bottom of every page.
Standardize Font types and sizes in all pages.
The site must be very fast to load:
Do not use large graphs,
Do not use Flash
Do not use frames.
Do use tables, and make changes on the existing ASP files.
The attached file contains all files on the website.
In order to be considered for this project you have to provide at least one of 3 things:
1) Samples of previous work that you have done. Preferably sites that link to your own site so I know that you designed, or sites hosted at your address.
2) A Mock-up of the proposed enhanced home page. This may be a .bmp or a .jpg of a proposed page.
3) List of proposed suggestions. Here I mean specific suggestions, detailed suggestions on what can be done to enhance the site.
Remember that at least one of the 3 things above is mandatory.
Please provide a price in US dollars with your bid.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully functional working ASP pages as well as
complete source code of all work done.
2) Logo and artistic Theme
3) Site Map
4) Suggest a new way to incorporate searching into the site. And
provide the code to implement it. (Possibly something like "Google
Search" in www.asktog.com). Explain available options and pros and
cons of each option.
5) Should be ready to upload to the server and go live. I will not be
doing any customization.
6) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work
purchased.
7) Exclusive copyrights on any image or graphic that you add to the
page. That includes reusing and even possibly reselling the code and
images that you provide. I reserve all copyrights and the right to
reuse it with no limitations and without notifying the coder.
Platform:
This project has to be done in
ASP or ASP.net
Since I will be publishing articles every other week I do now want to change multiple static HTML files.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
Dates are negotiable before I close the bidding process.

PS: The design is not resold.
We have two options in case of the search engine :
1. Use a free service (you will have advertisements)
2. or we can pay an yearly fee for incorporating a search engine(ad free).

If given the contract, I can do some research for in helping you make a better decision.
I can change the layout with tables. But I would require some help from you, for translations. I ma currently using the AltaVista converter for viewing your pages in English.
