Description:
We need a calendar to assist us in scheduling our 8 - 10 field technicians.
I'm thinking VB calendar that does not affect my underlying db structure, so I can still make changes.
What I'm looking for is a full screen view showing two weeks at a time. In this view I would like to see 8 to 10 sets of initials representing the 8 to 10 men in the field. If there are no initials on a date the man is available to work 8 hours that day. If the man's initials are green on a particular day he is scheduled for 4 hours or less and is available for additional appointments the remaining 4 hours. If the man's initials are yellow on a particular day he is scheduled for more than 4 hours but less than 8 hours and is available for additional appointments. If the man's initials are red he is scheduled for 8 or more hours that day and is not available for additional appointments. By then clicking on the initials I would see a summary of currently booked appointments for that man. By clicking on each appointment I would like to be taken to the form: 'customers' for further data entry. If I'm in a hurry while doing this I would need to be able to put a placeholder on the day and time for a newly booked apointments, which I would later complete using the form: 'customer'.
There are 3 attachments:
1. A sample database: Hwsamp~1.mdb
2. A sample calendar I mocked up in MS Word: Sample Calander.doc
3. A sample database containing a form: "schedule" which is a previous attempt by a coder who unfortunately could not finish by the deadline: Hwsamp~2.mdb
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

| Dear Buyer:
I have reviewed your specifications, and believe I understand your requirements.
Although it is possible to solve your requirement in Access97, would you be agreeable in having a VB6 front end instead? From a developer's point of view this will be quicker, easier (and thus cheaper) and more reliable, without the headaches that caused your previous coder to lose her bid!
