Description:
I need a program that reads 2 folders that contain songs/filenames(such as .mp3 files) and puts each folder of songs in 2 listboxes. I then want to compare the two for similar filenames and populate a 3rd listbox with matches. When i say similar the could be exact matches as well as something close. Example: if one box contains "acdc - back in black" and the other contains "i am back in black" i want it to come up in the "possible duplicate listbox (3rd listbox)" The idea here is that i want to make sure i don't have duplicates in the first listbox or first specified folder that are already in the 2nd listbox or 2nd specified folder to compare. The 2nd folder is the one i want to compare to. I can give more of a description if needed. I can also lay out the form with the layout already done ready for coding. The compare can be a sub or function..Doesnt matter.I can write the program to read the folders an populate the listboxes and send to you if needed. I Just need the function to look for the similar filenames in the listboxes.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

This is very simple for me. Please accept my bid so that I can start coding today. I assume everything will be ready today, in the worst case tomorrow morning. Waiting for your response, sincerely Andrei B. |

I propose to do it in the following way: After the application compares the two folders and displays in the third listbox the filenames from the first folder that are matching in some way with one or more filenames from the second folder, when you click on a filename from the third listbox to make a multiple selection in the second listbox with the filenames that are like the one you selected. Regards, Andrei B. |
