Description:
I'm currently writing a Internet reservation application and I'm looking for help to add the following features/functions:
- When given a property id build a calendar for the current month showing vacancies and occupied dates. There should be links to let them view the next month and maybe a drop down menu to select a new month and year.
- I would also like a function that looks through the array or database to find all Property_ID's that are vacant for a specific check in date and check out date.
- This features is related somewhat to #1. I would like to be able to build a calendar of vacancies and occupied dates based on Property_ID and a day range. For example show me the next 14 days or 20 days. I want to be able to pass days into the function.
Information stored in the database looks like this:
Field Name |
ID | Property_ID | Cust_ID | Check_In | Check_Out |
Datatype |
Int | Int | Int | Datetime | Datetime |
Note:
Check_In is always at 4:00 PM
Check_Out is always at 11:00 AM
So someone can check in on the same day that someone is checking out. This also means that a property is considered vacant on the check out day.
Documentation:
I need a description of what each function and sub created does.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working function(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
To Be Programmed In
I want the application to be programmed in ASP (Normal, NOT .Net). There can also be a Visual Basic (6.0) ActiveX Dll component but the ASP must talk to it.
Javascript can be used for client side data verification but is not required.
SQL Server Stored Procedures can also be used for as much of the processing as needed.
Operating System
This will be running on a Windows 2000 Server machine.
Database
The database will be SQL Server 7.0. The completed project does not need to use SQL Server. Just as long as I can plug the functions into my system to use SQL Server.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Jan 8, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
It is important that I get this project completed. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to program it myself or get someone else to help.
Also, this will be somewhat of an ongoing project. I will need new functions and features over the next 3 to 6 months. So with some good code at good pricing there may be more work down the line.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.
