Description:
Build a form which permits a user to design a laptop computer to their specifications. The following choices must be permissible:
A. Choice of at least 3 speeds of the central processor (e.g. 200 MHz, 500 MHz, 800 MHz), of which one can be selected--use a combo box.
B. Choice of either the regular or long-life battery--use option buttons.
C. Selection of optional elements, including a built-in floppy drive, a built-in CD-ROM drive, a built-in modem--use check boxes.
D. Choice of at least 3 sizes of RAM Memory (e.g. 64 Mb, 128 Mb, 256 Mb)-- use a combo box.
Include a display box to show the total current cost of the laptop--
the base cost is $1000;
the speed of the central processor costs $1/MHz;
the batteries cost $50 or $100, respectively;
the built-in elements cost $100 each;
the memory costs $1/Mbyte
The cost display should change immediately after the user changes one of their choices, so they can make their choices rationally.
Lastly, there should be an order button to write an output file which lists the final design, item by item, and their costs. Put the same information into a message box as well.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Comments must also be included.
3) The program has to use Visual Basic 6.0
Platform:
Program has to use Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.
Has to work in windows 98, XP, and windows in general.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Dec 19, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
All must be completed by Dec. 19th.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
