Description:
Note: The requirements below are not absolute if you have a better solution, or ideas that would enhance the usefulness of the app.
I need a program that can test a proxy server to see what level of anonymity it provides. For example, whether or not it changes your ip, does it show or hide the header fields, does it alter it's own ip, estimate of data transfer rate, does it support ftp, does it support ssl or https, location.
This program is intended to be used by people who are concerned about their privacy while surfing the internet.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
4) Manual installation instructions in case the buyer needs to repackage the application

Windows 98, ME, 2K, XP
Special Conditions / Other:
Must be completed within 14 days of bid acceptance
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.

Hello there :)
I've got the same assignment.
My professor wants a similiar program...Our dead line is 15th December,so I begin coding tomorrow.
The requirments are almost same as yours :
1.For a given IP range,each IP must be scanned for proxy
2.Each of the found proxies
must be checked if it is annonymous (if it hides your IP)
3.Check what kind of sevices it offers : ftp,http,ssl,ect.
4.Try to estimate what is the transfer rate
That's my assignment.It's a kind of an exam for me,and I
scramble for scholarship.That's why I'll do my best to give my best !!!
