Description:
We all have them … event logs … and we all hate them
What I am looking for is a small program that will use this “eventsave.exe” (attached). It does a rather impressive job of archiving event logs. But would like your program to do the following additional jobs:
a) the ability to sift through event logs to look for user defined error codes;
b) using “blat” of your own code self-code … e-mail, to user a defined address, a report from above error code search;
c) clear up/delete archived logs, according to a user defined 3, 6, 9 or 1 year setting
d) nice, but not really important, ability to print logs by month.
Make sense?
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Hello, Russell!
I can make a nice application for you using Delphi. Its main features are:
- generate (and/or print) reports based on selected .evt file filtered by event ID
- e-mail the reports to specified user
- automatically delete old .evt files created by eventsave.exe
It will consist of the report generating application and the service that will automatically run eventsave.exe and delete old .evt files
The application will have a nice look (hope you enjoyed our 'net send GUI' program)
