Description:
Take the user to a fair with a variety of booths: there are a couple of games to play where prizes can be won, there is a snack shop where various goodies can be bought, and a craft booth. Give the user some spending money to start with, and charge a fee to play each game.
a) Allow the user to play the 13 stones game. This game requires two players (one of which will be the computer, with the user making the first move). Initially, there are 13 stones in a pile. The players take turns removing stones from the pile. For each turn, a player can remove 1, 2, or 3 stones - these are the only valid options. The last player to remove a stone loses. Be sure to continuously display what is occurring in the game so that the user can easily follow what is going on (display: the number of stones the computer removes, the number of stones left, …). If the user wins, they get a money prize. OPTIONAL: make the computer unbeatable, so long as the user plays first.
b) Allow the user to play a guessing game. Let the computer choose a random number between 1 and 20. The user gets three guesses to try and guess the number. Each time they guess, the computer should specify whether the guess was "correct" or "too high" or "too low". The user gets a large prize if they guess the number in one guess, a medium prize for guessing it in two guesses, and a small prize if it took three guesses.
c) Create a snack shop that sells at least 5 items. Set prices for each of the items. Allow the user to shop in the store and select what they want (including more than one of a particular item). Reduce the user&'s store of money accordingly.
d) A free craft booth is set up so that the user can draw pictures. There is a 20 X 10 grid, with the upper left hand corner of the grid is specified by the coordinates (1,1). Allow the user to fill locations in this grid with characters. The user will draw pictures by specifying a rectangle and a character to fill the rectangle with. They will specify the rectangle by the coordinates of the upper left hand corner and of the lower right hand corner, and giving a character to fill the box with. For example, the grid will start out looking like:
*ATTACHMENT CONTAINS FULL DISCRIPTION*
