Description:

I am looking for C++ or assembly language application that enables data backup from a PC to a remote server where it is stored within a secure location specific to each user. The target network is NT/2000 based. Specifically:

Client Functions

 Will scan the local drives for files matching a set of file extensions (ie, .doc, .xls, etc).
 Will compress all files into zip-compatible archive and upload to remote backup server, under user&'s directory (filename will auto increment). If user directory does not exist, it will create.
 Will generate a report of all files archived and email concise report to the user (ie, &'47 files were successfully backed up on 11/2/2002. File types included were:&'). Will use a translation table for verbose file types located on server (ie, ‘All MS Word Documents&' instead of .doc)
 Will encrypt the zip file using triple DES or better, using a static key.
 Will have a password protected user interface
 Will complete restoration process requested by server
 Will operate on a low-priority thread in the background with minimal impact on system resources during compression and transmission.
 Will be invisible to user when in operation.
 User interface will have the following configuration options:
o Backup server name
o Time of daily backup (default is 12:00PM)
o Types of files to include in archive
o Option to store a second copy of the archive locally on the hard drive, zip disk, or CDR.

Server Functions

 Will scan incoming archives and sort into a local directory structure based on login username.
 Will maintain a translation table for verbose file types (see client description)
 Will monitor incoming archives and be able to send alerts when any user does not send an archive in 3 days to the network administrator.
 Will provide a restoration process whereby an archive can be sent back to the client for extraction.
 Will delete archives older than 30 days IF newer archives exist for each username. If newer archives do not exist, the archive will be stored indefinitely.
 Will provide complete reports by email of all user backups performed each day to system administrator.
 Will provide a user interface for restorations.

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

Hello,

We make it for 819 bucks. We made security system before so we can provide best solution for you.

But we have few remarks:
>> Option to store a second copy of the archive locally on the hard drive, zip disk, or CDR.
We will make storing a copy to any read/write drive with random access. But we can not store information to CDR because the special software need.

For encrypt you storage we will use RC6 - it is fast and reliable block cipher. We have own library to encrypt already.

Also we will use external libraries to develop following patrs:
1. zip compression
2. e-mail notification

We have to use this library because if we begin make it we will have waste our time and you money.

In additions we will support our design during one year free.

For develop it we will use Visual C++ v6.0.

When you accept our bid we begin the work immediately.
Our time zone GMT+3.

Best regards,
Alexandr Kudinov,
Cyclone Software.
