Description:
I'm using Office Web Components XP(Pivot, Chart, Spreadsheet) in VB6 and VB.Net under Windows NT / 2000 /XP I'd like to specify colors, fonts, etc. different from the default without having to hardcode the settings. Ideally, I'd want to define my settings using the built-in interface and save the configuration somewhere (either in a file or in a database). When the application code is run, I'd like to load the saved configuration. Apparently, it should be possible as Excel manages it. For example, I can add a OWC XP spreadsheet inside an Excel worksheet. It can edit the OWC sheet and add the content I want (colors, text, etc.). I can then save the Excel workbook, close it and reopen it and the OWC spreadsheet inside it still has the content that I created. In fact, that works for other COM components as well.
To summarize, I need is a demo application in VB.NET, that brings up a pivot table (with some fake data), a Chart and a Spreadsheet. For each of these objects, I need to be able to change the configuration, click on a « save » button to save the configuration in a file. When I close and reopen the application, by clicking on a « load » button, I reload the configuration exactly as it was saved.
