I need either a simple modification to a existing name server or a simple solution that does the following. 1) for each nameserver request that comes in it will check the normal zones and give a answer like usual. 2) If the domain exist in the zones instead of failing it will give a fixed answer which will be definable by me in a config file.
This can be a easy fix to named or even a perl program that always answers with the same answer.

I can make the required feature for you as a patch for named source code. You must provide me the version of named you are running and I will give you a source code patch for you to apply, or, at your convenience, full source code already patched or even binary named for Linux.
The custom IP address will be specified by you in named.conf as a global configuration directive.
Having both C programming experience as well as extensive Linux administration knowledge I am confident that will get the job done quickly and as simple for you to maintain as possible.
