Description:
I am looking to have a VB app (standalone exe) developed which will transfer calendar records from Outlook 2002 to EccoPro 4.01 (one way only) via Ecco's DDE interface. Information about Ecco's DDE interface is available at http://www.artmiddlekauff.com/ECCO/EccoApi.htm
An Active X wrapper for Ecco's DDE is available for free at http://www.ivitar.com/vbecco/ though I cannot vouch for it's usefulness.
All records in Outlook that are already in Ecco that have matching times and descriptions should be overwritten by default. All day appointments in Outlook should translate to all day appointments in Ecco. Repeating appointments and alarms in Outlook should translate to repeating appointments and alarms in Ecco (subject to Ecco's limitations in these areas). A summary dialog displaying information on the records transfered and overwritten, not overwritten must be provided. The program must allow the ecco file to be written to to be specified and this information should be retained between runs of the program. Program should be runnable from a command line so that it can be scheduled to run via scheduler.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. All code must be professionally commented.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 2k Pro
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Oct 1, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
Coding must be in VB 6. Preference given to coders who are experienced with Ecco Pro and Outlook 2002. Ecco Pro is available for free directly from NetManage - see http://www.compusol.org/cs/ecco/
All code to be fully tested prior to delivery.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Dear Buyer:
I am sorry, but I do not have experience with EccoPro.
I have visited the Ecco Toolkit site, and tend to agree with them: It is easier to program with an Activex object than through DDE.
Would I be able to test the application without having Ecco installed on my system?
I do have:
- Experience extracting data from Outlook calender
- Experience in both DDE and using Activex objects
- Experience in having my programs run from scheduler
- Satisfied customers concerning quality of work done
- Satisfied customers concerning speed of delivery
Sincerely yours,
Dabas
