Description:
We need a tool to measure network traffic. We found coding that is very close to our idea, called "Traffic W." at http://www.codeproject.com/internet/trafficwatcher.asp#xx271828xx
Unfortunatly, the code has still some problems, as you can see in the feedback to the article on CodeProject. We would need somebody that goes over this code and change it so that it runs flawlessly on Win 98/ME and WinNT/2000/XP.
Of course, any other suggestion to create such a tool are also welcome!
An additional feature required is the ability to log all network traffic to a file for trouble shooting purposes. To reduce the amount of traffic logged, some kind of filter is probably required.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete Visual Studio 6 or 7 source code as of all work done. The code must run *without* the .NET runtime installed.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
