Description:
Quite an easy small program, just needs a little smart programming.
The program must guess the amount of remaining battery in hours:minutes. This is how it should work; you have a separate window where you can find out how long the battery lasts for 1%. Then, by calculating how long each 1% lasts, you can approximatively guess in hours:minutes what the battery autonomy will be. It doesn't have to be extremely precise, as long as the code is not too complicated (it musn't be too heavy, use OCX or DLL). Must also guess the autonomy of the full battery in hours:minutes.
Must be done in pure VB *only*, though the battery autonomy would have to be intercepted with SysInfo.ocx (so that you can get remaining percentage without having to use API calls). But you must not use SysInfo.ocx to give remaining/full battery in hours:minutes because it doesn't work with all batteries.
Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP (must work under Windows 9x and Windows NT)
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Sep 12, 2002 EDT

Hello Sir, Actually I was thinking the meaning of 'separate window' (in your description) as a window where User can input. My fault, I accept. English is not my mother language. Now I had created its Prototype-2. It is fully automatic. To test it please switch to battery power (and wait for few minutes). Curently it is calculating on seconds. If you wish I can go even more deep like 1/10 or 1/100 or even 1/1000 of a second to calculate much more accurate. If you wish I can add few more features to it. Sir, if that is the product you want, can you please tell me how much you can pay me for this job? Actually this project is larger than I thought. Without your permission, I am not going to raise my bid. So you don't have to worry. You can get final product in the same bid. |
