Description:
I need a lightweight COM objects (VC++ with ATL no MFC) which Will store strings for messages, menu etc for my web site.
The COM is like a very little database, which store data internally.
Will provide 4 functions:
Add(MsgID in, LngID in, Message in) this will add or update, to its internal database the message.
Delete (MsgID in,LngID in) delete the message
Get(MsgID in, LngID in, Message out) get the message base on the msgID and lngID
Count() count numbers of messages has internaly
Where
MsgID is integer
LngID char(3)
Message Variant
The key is the combination of MsgID and LngID
Functions will return 0 if successful and any other long if error occurs.
The component has to be very fast and persists its own data on the disk (after an add/update). We are looking at around 1000 messages per language and around
10-15 languages. Massage strings have to be Unicode and maintain the encoding (most likely UTF-8)
Do not propose solution to use databases (like Access etc).
The most important requirement: HAVE TO BE FAST
A test ASP page to load it base on the id and base on language will help too, just to make sure work :).

I'm engaged in this kind of developments in my day-to-day work. I can provide you a COM with unicode support to enble languags such as Chinese, Thai, etc... and other languages like spanish, swedish,etc... and can also provide translation service through online tools, if u provide me the English words list.
I can gurantee a FAST COM. Also you can have a design that uses Satelite Language COM's for each language as a option... Anyway I'm open for any discussions or Alternative method :-))
I will also provide you a Test Bed to test this Application using ASP and VB.
This is one of my first attemts to join the Rent-a-coder site as a developer, I think my bidding amount is fair :-))
