Description:
Hi, I'm needing an smtp engine created to run my subscriber list. I'm familliar with servers like LSMTP and Lyris and how fast they are, however I don't see spending the $$ for the high license fees they charge. I have T1 bandwidth so I have all I need to be able to send a few hundred thousand emails/hour. I would like an engine that will send a couple hundred thousand emails/hour if possible with a GUI representing bytes/hour messages/hour etc etc... This project would most definatley need to be written in C or machine code, however I'm not an expert on that. This may not even be possible but if interested please respond. I've tried most of the 'winsock' apps out there and the many email apps and they all are inferior. this thing needs to be powerful.

Sorry for my delay in getting back to you, I didn't realize at the time that i couldn't email you directly.
to answer your question: yes, very much. my senior project in college was developing a multi-threaded 3d rendering engine. i've also created many multi-threaded apps, and i am versed in the SMTP protocol.
i'll be happy to answer any more questions. |
