Description:
Need a front end to a Unix C program. perl-tk, TCL, or Java will work. No 'visual' package code allowed. This is just to get me jumpstarted. I will need to take your code and work with it so it has to be very readable! I am best at C and perl. So I guess I would prefer perl-tk. Java second and Tcl third.
Menu Stubs: File->Quit Setup->Start View->Logfile1 Data->Pstat Setup->Getstat View->Logfile2 Data->add View->next Data->delet
Under this is the main interface window will have 5 tabbed notebook pages
The Main widget on each notebook page is a grid Each grid will have 30 columns and up to 100 rows. The # of columns will be fixed. The # of Rows is variable. Therefore we will need both horizontal and vertical scrollbars.
This data is 'static'. Except it needs to be re-loaded from a flat file automatically every 15 seconds. The data is non-editable except we need the ability to hightlight a single row. When a row is highlighted then the 'Data' menu item mentioned above will key off of that highlighted row. So that rows data will need to be passed to a subroutine.
The first notebook page grid is some summary data from the other notebook pages grids. Simple summing of those data items is needed here.
I will supply some sample flat files (.CSV comma seperated data). There are two different types of flatfiles. (Very similar just a few extra columns in one that are not in the other.) In fact just code to the longer type for all 4 forms. File attached.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

I can do a clear and well-documented code in Java! From java you'll be able to call shared libraries in C. I made java apps that uses grids and they're quite easy. |
