Description:
The code needs to be able to determine whether a computer is connected to the internet. It must be stand-alone code and not depend on Wininet. When checking the internet status, it must run silently and not alert the connection dialog box or whatever the default internet connection application happens to be.
At the moment, I am using the registry to test the connection value. It seems to work on my system but on a friend's computer it's not as reliable. So I am looking for a more reliable alternative, but again I want the code to be self-contained and have no depenency on Wininet.
The code written will be set into an existing C++ program.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 9.x, Windows ME, Windows NT 4 or above
